11 Weeks!

I had my doctor's appointment this morning, and everything went well. It looks like a real baby now! I am 10 weeks and 5 days and included three ultrasound pics for everybody to see. I promise you that I can already feel the baby kick. All of the books say that you shouldn't be able to, but I remember what it feels like, and I am convinced. Of course, only I can feel it. The baby is too small yet for Rob to feel the kicks. Weight gain in three pounds so far.

Emma has her very own series of ultrasound photos from the doctor. She says, "hi doctor" every time we go in for a visit, and he hooks her up with her very own photos.

Don't to forget to vote on the sex of the baby. We should find out soon, so vote while you can. The link is to the right-it is purple and gold.

The ultrasound below was taken just 10 days ago at 9 weeks and 2 days. Look at how much it's grown in just 10 days!

In case you were wondering...Emma was born on Tuesday, September 12th at 1:16 p.m. She was exactly 40 weeks-born on her due date, but I was induced. She weighed 7 lbs. 9.5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

We've been keeping a secret...

We are expecting baby number two! Rob and I have known for a while...we had numerous reasons to wait to tell, but after our doctor's appointment today, we decided to share the good news! We are very excited!

We heard the heartbeat today, and based on the ultrasound, everything looks great. According to my doctor, my risk of miscarriage at this point is less than 2%.

I am very nauseous and terribly exhausted, so I am hoping this goes away soon. Chasing a two year old while wanting to vomit is not at the top of my "must do" list. I am sure that it's not on your "must do" list either. The good news is that there is an end....hopefully 6 weeks or less, and my doctor gave me anti-nausea medicine today. Hooray! I wish I would have had the meds for the wedding weekend, but oh well!

I am due February 20, 2010...I have included two pregnancy tickers on our website to help keep up with the progress!

Here is a photo of the positive pregnancy test...
Our first ultrasound, taken at 6 weeks and 2 days....the baby is between the x's.
Our second ultrasound taken today, at 8 weeks and 3 days...the baby is between the x's.
This was also taken today. You can see the yolk sac in this one...
I just LOVE ultrasounds!!! How cool is it to see how much your baby has grown in just two weeks? It more than tripled in size!

What a miracle!

Here is a photo of an eight week old baby in utero...amazing to say the least! This is what our baby looks like right now.

Most of you probably know that I am absolutely-without a question pro-life, but seeing a photo like this makes everything so much more real. Many people have abortions well into the second trimester, and this is only half way through the first. It already looks like a real baby...definitely something for all of us to think about.
