Do we have to catch EVERYTHING?

Our Memorial Day weekend started fun....but ended with: (warning....sort of graphic)

Diarrhea for Emma....and she was newly potty trained! If you thought I would leave panties on my diarrhea child, you thought wrong. We went back to diapers.

103-104 degree fever....and nothing would break it...she was miserable :(

Around Wednesday, I thought it was over. Her poop was normal, but then she was up at night. I knew something was wrong. So, I took her to the pedi....swimmer's ear....in both ears and BAD! Antibiotic drops here we come.

Wednesday afternoon....she cried from noon to 4 or 5. I felt so sorrow for her. Called the pedi back....Tylenol with codeine. Emma got "happy" all of the sudden. It was truly funny!

We continued the drops and the Tylenol.

Friday....she sneezed and it was yellow. We went back to the pedi (we were supposed to be going out of town for the weekend). Sinus infection! Antibiotics-now orally and in her ears. Oh my...is this a joke?

Here she is sleeping....

Crawfish Boil!

Ray's parents had a crawfish boil at their house for Memorial Day. We went and had a wonderful time. Grand-dad and Nana came to visit for the weekend, so that made it extra special. What wasn't so great was our week to follow....

Neighborhood Party

Our developer held a neighborhood appreciation party for all of the residents. Rob went bay fishing with my dad for the weekend, so it was just me and Emma. She bounced, ate snowcones, and got an animal balloon....lots of fun for a 2 year old!

400

is the number of photos on my camera right now...lord help me. 400 photos exactly...not 399 or 401 and no, this was not planned. So, I knew that I liked...okay loved my camera, but 400 photos in less than three weeks...come on?

I have some work to do...importing, cropping, creating new posts, etc. This mommy is tired tonight (who knew potty training could be so exhausting?). So, I am turning in, but will be back soon....I promise...with tons of photos to share (400 to be exact). Sweet dreams.

Our trip to Sea World...Emma LOVED Shamu!

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio! Our resort was *AMAZING* and I am already ready to go back again! We spent two days at Sea World~seeing the Shamu show, the Dolphin Show, and the Sea Lion Show, riding rides, looking at the penguins, sharks, fish, and alligators~just to name a few. Feeding the dolphins was my favorite part. We were close enough to touch them~they are such neat animals!

Emma was so excited she could hardly even stand it. She woke us up on the first morning. We were still in bed, half asleep. She said, "Guess what? We are going to see Dolphins!" She said it with such energy that it was truly hysterical!

Our resort was complete with a really nice pool (indoor and out), water slides, a splash pad for Emma, a lazy river, and a beach. So, we swam, built sand castles, and floated the river. Emma had a blast, and so did we! I think I had more fun there than I did at Sea World!

It was a great Mother's Day for me...I am hoping to make this a tradition????

Here are a few of our pics....

Okay, so the dolphin below is larger than the others, so I asked why. They said that she never lost her pregnancy weight! Her baby is almost one, and she is still quite puffy :) I found this quite humorous...they also said that the other dolphins just "slimmed right up" after giving birth. I guess we may be closer to the dolphins than we thought :)

Emma was having fun watching the sea lions, walrus, and sea otters....

Could she use a little more pink?
Floating by herself! She was so proud!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there! I got my present a little early this year, because we were leaving to go on vacation. Rob and Emma got me a spa manicure and pedicure, so I am excited! I am saving them for later...probably before Lin's wedding :) Emma made me her handprint, which was so sweet, and a handmade card!

Q: What costs $5 and requires a little help from the hubby?

A: A jewelry rack!

The best $5 I have ever spent! We bought a peg board ($5), and Rob cut it to fit~after some minor begging :) I covered it with leftover fabric and leftover ribbon (shhhh-from a wedding gift), and wha la!!

A priceless piece of work....you girls know what I mean when I say that, "I don't have to dig anymore." Pure heaven!

4 Reasons why I LOVE Houston...

Reason #1-Our begonias NEVER die! These are last year's, which saves me both time and money!
Reason #2-Agapanthus LOVE it here! I am waiting for my white one to bloom :)

Reason #3-You can grow citrus trees in your very own backyard. We have a mexican lime and an orange tree in the backyard...covered in baby fruit! Now if I only had a lemon tree too!

Reason #4-You can fly a kite ANY day of the week...see previous post!
