Reason #1-Our begonias NEVER die! These are last year's, which saves me both time and money!

Reason #2-Agapanthus LOVE it here! I am waiting for my white one to bloom :)

Reason #3-You can grow citrus trees in your very own backyard. We have a mexican lime and an orange tree in the backyard...covered in baby fruit! Now if I only had a lemon tree too!

Reason #4-You can fly a kite ANY day of the week...see previous post!

Have you guys done a lot of gardening? Yvonne and I have started planting some flowers but haven't gotten very far as of yet.
I wouldn't say a lot, but after two houses, I have sort of figured out which plants "like it" in Houston. I don't know if it would be the same for Austin, probably close! For bushes: plum delights, gardenias, and knockout roses are great. For bedding plants, it's begonias~the bronze leaf ones. Lily of the nile and lantana have also done super in our yard. Good luck and let me know what you end up with!
