christmas with nana & pawpaw

after visiting my family, we made it to see more of rob's family...


it was so nice for the kids to be able to see their cousins and nana and pawpaw.

because of the weather, all of our christmas plans were delayed.  as soon as the roads cleared enough to drive, we headed to Louisiana to see Mama & Papa C.

we had one last snowball fight and then jumped in the car...


the kids had a blast at mama & papa c.'s house.  they got all sorts of goodies...

the snow continued to fall.  the roads froze over, and we were stuck.  we ventured out several more times and had so much fun...


once the snow stopped falling and the winds died down, playing outside became much more enjoyable for carson and me :)  here are our pics...

we live in texas, and did you hear me right?  it snowed.  and on christmas.

i am not joking when i tell you that emma prayed for this...


and she got her wish.


i'm thinking she has some major connections upstairs :)


i know i'm a texas girl, but i had never seen snow like this.

carson was miserable and still sick, but i would have died before i didn't get his photo with the first snow.  we made it snappy and then headed inside to play with all of their new toys.  it was a white christmas and one for the books :)
