y'all might want to grab a cup of coffee for this one. i am pretty sure it is on photo overload.
our weekend started with a fire on friday night. we ended it by making fireplace s'mores with the kiddos. the weather was cool, and we were all so excited!
rob brought home a beautiful bouquet of fall flowers for me. those are my favorite flowers...the unexpected ones :)
the kids and i worked hard all week on our leaf people...
and they both enjoyed watching the hair on their people grow, grow, grow!
saturday morning, we made pumpkin pancakes.
i love everything pumpkin and bro loves everything cooking, so we made a great team.
miss emma continued to decorate the house with her craftings....
we even made these pumpkin ornaments to hang in the window...
and, we all continued our new obsession with peter pan, tinker bell, and never land. the idea of never growing up and having pixie dust to fly sounds just delightful :)
saturday afternoon, we loaded the four of us up and headed to the local balloon festival.
we generally aren't "fair" or "crowd" people, but i will say that this time, our afternoon and night were simply amazing!
the kids enjoyed all of the little carnival rides. the festival was in a super small town, so there were no lines, and everything was really affordable.
i bought our admission tickets through groupon, so they were half price...score! i think for 10 bucks, we were all in the gate with parking and all...score again!
their little face on all of the rides were priceless.
it was so much fun and so laid back...
bro requested the "choo, choo train."
and off they went...
we made a pit stop for some junk food...
and them memms requested the ferris wheel. i let rob run with that one. i. am. not. a. fan.
they all three came off smiling, but i do think my dare-devil husband had a few different thoughts about the ferris wheel with the safety of two little ones at heart :)
we stopped off again for a yummy corn dog and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
yum-o!
one more snack...kettle corn. rob loves it!
then, we began waiting patiently for the sun to go down.
they dig some field rolling :)
and were invited inside of a balloon basket...
it was getting pretty chilly, so the fire felt wonderful!
inflating the balloons began and the kids loved watching...
everyone there was so nice and let us take as many pictures as we wanted.
a little sibling love.
going up.....
still waiting on the balloon glow, but freezing to death...
we were so cold, that we headed back enjoyed the glow from inside our heated car. we are true southerners at heart. sunday morning, i woke up to bro with his trains...
i think that is his #1 favorite toy...
and memms with her crafting...
her masterpiece was none other than....TINKER BELL! it was such a fun weekend.
